Serviceberry is a native, small multi-stem tree, typically found at the edge of a woodland. This bush has smooth, gray bark and white flowers that bloom in March and April. Serviceberry has edible fruit that ripens in June. The leaves are a gorgeous red-orange color in the fall (if it is planted in a sunny area). Serviceberry is used for wildlife and has been used in pies as well.
