MAEAP

​MAEAP stands for Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. It was developed by a coalition of farmers, commodity groups, state and federal agencies, and conservation and environmental groups. MEAEP is a completely voluntary, science-based program appropriate for all farm sizes, focused on minimizing agricultural pollution risks. 

Reasons to have your farm MAEAP-Verified:
  1. Reduce legal and environmental risks

  2. Show your peers, community, and customers that you take environmental stewardship seriously.

  3. Balance efficient production and sound environmental practices to grow your business and protect our air, land, and water.

  4. Help ensure safe storage of fuel, fertilizer, and pesticides. 

  5. Develop emergency plans to prepare for the unexpected and protect you, your employees and first responders.
