Yellow Transparent Apples were originally imported into America from Russia in the late 1800s due to the need for a cold-hardy apple that could be raised in the Midwest. These trees bear fruit unusually early in their lives and are vigorous producers. It is one of the first apples to ripen, sometimes as early as June. The fruit has a moderate flavor which is best used for cooking. Pick before maturity for better storage life. Scab resistant.
 
These are hefty, bare root trees. They are generally 5' to 7' tall with a stem diameter of greater than 1/2".
