America's most widely distributed tree and grows in Zones 1-6. This fast growing tree is adaptable to a variety of conditions, but is short lived due to a variety of diseases. Quaking Aspen reproduces by root sprouts and colonizes. It is tolerant of many soil types but thrives in moist fertile soils. This tree has fluttering, triangular leaves that turn a rich yellow color in the fall. It's green to white bark makes this tree beautiful to photograph in the fall. Quaking Aspen provides an abundance of food for wildlife.
