Red pine is a large native, long-lived evergreen tree for dry habitats.The handsome, tall straight trunk, beautiful red bark, and long needles are its identifying features. Red pines are a moderately fast growing tree. They are used mostly for wood pulp and timber, windbreaks or reforestation, and wildlife habitat. Red Pines are also drought tolerant.
