Parker Pear (Semi-dwarf)
Parker pear was developed by the University of Minnesota and released in 1934. The fruits are medium sized, green, and often develop a slight red bush on the sunny side of the fruit. Showy white flowers in early May . Fruit ripens in September. The flesh is sweet and very fine textured. Parker pear must be cross-pollinated with a different pear variety to produce fruit. Excellent for canning.
