Parker Pear (Semi-dwarf)
Parker Pear was developed by the University of Minnesota and released in 1934. The fruits are medium sized, green, and often develop a slight red bush on the sunny side of the fruit. They are excellent for canning. Parker Pears have showy white flowers that bloom in early May and its fruit ripens in September. The flesh is sweet and very fine textured. Parker Pear must be cross-pollinated with a different pear variety to produce fruit.
