Red Mulberry (2-0)
Can be grown as a tree or pruned to a hedge. Fast growing. Known for its abundant (but messy) blackberry-like fruit. Leaves may take different shapes on same branch. Birds, mammals and humans can use the fruit, as well as being a larval host for Morning Cloak moth. Heavily utilized for many purposes by Native Americans. Milky sap and unripe fruit mildly toxic. We recommend not planting near your house due to quantity of fruit drop.
