If you hunt, fish, boat, hike, farm, or do anything else involving natural resources, then you benefit from Michigan's 82 Conservation Districts working to put conservation on the land.

Conservation Districts are "Unique" local units of State Government that utilize state, federal, and private sector resources to solve today's conservation problems. Created to serve as stewards of water and soil resources, they take an ecosystem approach to conservation and protection of our resources.

Michigan's Conservation Districts' activities are directed by a group of local folks who are committed to conserving our renewable natural resources like soil, water, plants, and animals. Their vision is to help all citizens of their District have livable communities in harmony with the environment.

The Dickinson Conservation District has all sorts of resource professionals available to assist you and your conservation needs: foresters, resource technicians, water quality specialists, and administrators. Contact our office for more information.

The Dickinson Conservation
Districtwas organized in 1948 and is managed by a five member
board of directors, elected by county landowners.

Caring for Dickinson County's natural
resources is a community responsibility - the result of one's actions that
impact everyone else. Each and every person who lives, works and plays
in Dickinson County has an integral part in determining it's future. We
invite you to join the partnership and work for the preservation of Dickinson
County's Natural Resources.
